Last weekend I was on a training weekend for my new role-I know some of you know what it is as you know me but I will write about it once I’ve finished training and reveal all to those who don’t 😉
So hotel food and yes I did take a bottle of red in the suitcase-that is just one bad habit I struggle to break. After years of working away and being bored in hotels room packing a bottle of wine (just in case) is as natural as packing my toothbrush!
I did succumb to a chocolate mousse dessert at lunch on Saturday but there was no dessert eaten on Saturday night or on Sunday-halo was shining brightly (if we ignore the wine that is).
A sneaky peak at the scales when I got back showed a 2.5lb gain so it was ‘pull it back and get on track time’.
My back injury was better so I did 3 weights sessions this week plus I decided to push myself with a bit of cardio. The aim was (on the rower):
400m in 2 minutes followed by 10 lat raises (think hand weights at your side raised to shoulder height then down and repeat)
300m in 90 seconds followed by 10 lat raises
200m in 60 seconds followed by 10 lat raises
100m in 30 seconds followed by 10 lat raises
I have managed this in the past but before the first 2 minutes were up I could barely breathe and by the end I looked like a ribena berry who was in need of an oxygen mask!
As much as I don’t want to do that again I will force myself to!
Food wise I haven’t eaten my points just because they were there. I’ve really focused on getting the most out of my points and eaten smarter. I have eaten lots of fish and veggies this week. One of my favourites from this week was courgetti with onions, tomatoes, tuna and parmesan as it was delicious and filling but only 2sp and you know I love a bargain 😊.
I had a small wine hiccup on Wednesday but let’s gloss over that….
Weigh in day arrived this morning and off I went to class. My focus had paid off and I had lost a pound. This now brings me to the title of my blog. I have a goal to lose half a pound next week (well I want more but half is the minimum). If-no when that half pound comes off I will be lightest I have been since my miscarriage in June 2012. That’s almost 4 years ago! Let me write that again just so it sinks in for me-half a pound puts me at the lightest I have been in nearly 4 years! I have bounced around the same weight for nearly 12 months and every time I have got to 12 stone 9 I have a gain and spend ages get back down to it only for it to happen again. NO MORE! That small goal I WILL hit next week and it will be a huge accomplishment. Wish me luck
