It was my sisters wedding at weekend and I didn’t quite hit my goal of being the lowest I have been in 4 years but I was only half a pound off so I was happy with that.
I had no intention of tracking a thing over the weekend but had stayed on track in the week running up to it and did lots of workouts.
We stayed at the hotel the night before and as I was packing my mum was shocked that I had 2 bottles of wine in the freezer ready to take with me-not both for me one was for my sister. I also had a selection of cheeses-the ones that are like a box of chocolates but really have mini cheeses in them. This was my ‘just in case’ food.
To be fair I didn’t eat it plus we had such a long wait between our starters and main in the restaurant that I cancelled my main as my starter-4 breaded mushrooms and a slice of cheese garlic bread had filled me up-well that plus the wine and prosecco we were drinking!
The day of the wedding dawned and it was hotel breakfast-mushroom, tomatoes, beans, scrambled egg and toast.
The wedding wasn’t until 4 so we had a lazy morning and at lunch we were served prosecco plus a huge plate of sandwiches which I kept ‘nipping’ back to.
The wedding was beautiful and at the evening party I did LOTS of dancing. I didn’t drink that much but I had my buffet plate-made up of cheese butties-well what else did you expect?
The next day we went for a drink to finish off the celebrations and ate a cheese sandwich for lunch then nothing else. To be fair I was so tired and afternoon drinking doesn’t agree with me so I was asleep in bed by 8pm!! 😱
I was supposed to get back on track on Monday and the day started well but I was so busy with work that I ended up grabbing a cheese baguette-yes a baguette not even a sandwich! Then as I hadn’t managed to get my cheese and wine night that I had planned I obviously had to have that on Monday night!
That left 3 days to get back to it and pull it back before weigh in on Friday. And here is where we find the battle of the wills.
I know that if I eat well I will feel better and even if I do show a gain on Friday it won’t be as bad as it could have been. However despite a good couple of days and gym workout I feel big and bloated-even more so than I did over the wedding weekend. The Angel is fighting out of the blue corner to keep me on track but in the red corner the Devil is looking tempting and ready to fight his corner…help!!
