My last weigh in before Christmas was Friday 23rd and I’d stayed the same. I was happy with that because when I look back at December and add up all the meals and nights out I still didn’t gain in those 4 weigh ins-in fact I lost half a pound over that time.
Christmas Eve started well with smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. I also decided that for my Christmas Eve party (I have one every year stars mid afternoon until early evening) I was going to make something ‘weight watcher friendly’-I already had pork pies and sausages rolls for the meat eaters and some cheese and onion rolls and cheesy bites for me and the other veggies. If I put my mind to it I could have done a really healthy spread but to be honest I just didn’t have the time. So my attempt at being good was to make mini cheese pies using shortcrust pastry and a mix of protein cheese and Cathedral City. They were 3sp each or 5sp for 2. Whilst making these though I ate 3 shortbread biscuits and a Baileys and milk-my husband was appalled when he came in the kitchen to find me ‘drinking’ at 11am 😂😂 but it’s Baileys and milk so it’s not like I was drinking vodka! (I also had another sneaky one whilst having a bath after lunch but ssssh 😉)
Christmas Day breakfast is egg and bacon (quorn for me) muffins. Even though I had one this year I only had 1 sausage and 2 pieces of bacon which is half of what I used to have however it was still served on a big white muffin with melted cheese.
In terms of Christmas dinner I had about 3 mouthfuls as I had filled myself up on Baileys and milk before the meal! I wasn’t going to waste that though! It was wrapped up and I had it Boxing Day instead. Christmas Day night was wine and cheese as always and Boxing Day night I went to my sisters for games night where she put out dips, crisps, cheese and onion rolls and gooey cheese fingers. I also had yet another Baileys and milk but this time it was topped with Baileys thick double cream…..
Tuesday I decided to get back on track and I pointed everything and ended the day on 28 points.
Wednesday arrived and as I knew I was going out for my sisters birthday I had a low breakfast and lunch. I could have driven to the restaurant and drank Diet Coke but I chose to drink instead-it’s my sisters birthday it would be rude not to have a glass of wine or two wouldn’t it??
I also decided not to have cheese garlic bread-until we got there and it smelt so good I had some. However I only had 3 slices and I chose an aubergine based dish for my main. I had a lovely piece of cream filled birthday cake after too! 😱😱
Wednesday was also Day 28 of the 28 Day Plank Challenge and I did 4 minutes 15 seconds before I could do no more.
It’s the only exercise I have managed to fit in but it’s better than nothing.
The WW class I go to is shut this week so I weighed myself in at my meeting this morning and it was what I had suspected-4lb on. And I’m feeling abit like I don’t deserve that much. Yes I have gone off track but I’ve not eaten for England for days on end-I even had one day where I stayed on track and I’ve not eaten as much cheese as I usually do. Next weigh in is next Friday. I had my nieces birthday today but I drove. I’m not going out NYE but we will have a wine and cheese night and I’m at my mother-in-laws for New Years Day and as an Irish lady she likes to put on a good spread and fill you up!
So the next few days will be a mix of salad, swede and carrot (great 0 smart point winter warmer) and wine and cheese!
Exercise has to be key next week because I’m on the cusp of going up to the next stone and I’ve not been in that stone bracket since September and I’ve no intention of going back there!
With the exception of cheese most of the ‘bad’ stuff has gone-my stepkids have been here for the past 3 days and all chocolate has gone! However I was bought a small bottle of Baileys and I don’t know how I’m going to keep that stashed away until next Christmas…..
Have a great new year-see you in 2017!
