This weekend is the weekend of ‘the sparkly skirt’ and I’m feeling the pressure! I’ve had so many people ask me about it which is lovely but I’m thinking it’s been built up and it’s not going to live up to expectations 😳 I’m pretty concerned about my belly especailly after my friends comment the other week so I started a 28 day plank challenge earlier on in the week to help me out!
I’m slighly off my personal goal target that I promised myself I would be for Christmas. Only 4.5lb but staying the same for the last 2 weeks has put me off track.
Last week I was abit lucky with a STS as I thought I may have done just enough to pull it back or had a half pound gain.
This week however I’m disappointed with a STS. We had friends visiting last weekend and I made spag bol (quorn mince for me) which is far better than my usual Friday ‘cheat cheese’ night. Breakfast I did a cooked one but I made it as I normally would and pointed it. I did 6000 steps round the Christmas Markets-we didn’t stay for long as it was so busy and I only had one mulled wine. When we went out for diner that night I chose chargrilled halibut as my main. I split hummus and garlic bread with my husband as a starter.
Sunday my friend arrived with a French stick for breakfast so I mad bacon butties for everyone on that and I decided to have some but I weighed it so I knew it was 8sp and it went on the tracker. Sunday night went slightly pear shaped with a little wine and cheese but on the whole compared to what a weekend with friends used to look like food wise I madegood balanced choices.
I then spent the rest of the week pulling it back by tracking, weighing and measuring. I didn’t use my daily points every day plus I’ve worked hard doing  Joe Wicks workouts and a great 45 minute weight training session in the gym.
Both my mum and dad were admitted (separately) to hospital this week and I could have used that as an excuse to go off track and have wine and cheese but I didn’t so to get a STS was disappointing. However I’m not going to let this derail me. I’ve got lots of NSVs-I feel good and strong, I’m getting lots of compliments and my clothes are looser so the STS has made me even more determined to work hard this week to get a good result next week.
It might be the weekend of ‘the skirt’ but there’s still 2 more weigh ins to Christmas. 4.5lb to get off by then-no pressure….
